Spring: promises and expectations

Spring is here! There's a new light, a new ways of dressing, of being.... There are hopes of something better or wonderful to come, however, the promises Spring gives are a little difficult to envision as of yet. Umbria’s countryside is garlanded with flowers, the baby leaves and new blades of grass create that green which is so associated with new life, a celebration of rebirth. The budding daffodils, the bursting of almond blossoms, all accompanied by the chirping birds at the early hours of the day. Sometimes things don't work out the way we expect them to and our sunny souls, which normally shine with joy and satisfaction, shade over like our the eclipse we got on the first day of this season of transformation. The sun was obscured and we were robbed, even if for very little, of our direct sunlight. A day turned dark. In reality it wasn't the sun in a shadow but the sun playing hide and seek behind the moon! A personal joke, a moment of fun to break the boring foreseeable routine. A move from light to dark and back to light, maybe just to remind us we're here and that there are some things we can't do anything about. Sometimes miracles happen, little and big. Actually they happen much more often than we think or want to believe. Sometimes we are the co-creators of these miracles, sometimes, when we can't see the Big Picture, we just need to have faith in what's going on. Give up the feeling that something's wrong. It isn't. It's what is and we just perceive it through the filter of our expectations. Of course we should still hope, but together with hope we need to trust life and remember that our energy (and we are in fact just Energy) vibrates through the Universe, and, in its own special way, contributes to this magical moment of recreation, where wonder, colour and perfumes are brought back to our gentle hazy green hills...
